The AI in Education (AIED) programme manager at Universiteit Leiden is seeking a motivated Student Assistant with a background in Educational Sciences to support our project managers and educational advisors. In this role, you will contribute to developing the resources and frameworks needed to responsibly integrate Artificial Intelligence into our teaching and learning practices. You will work under the guidance of the programme manager to research and produce draft content that will shape the university's approach to AI in Education.
What you will do
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and summarize pedagogical literature to inform the creation of didactic guides and frameworks.
- Transform complex policy documents, such as the AI Ethics/legal Framework, into practical guides and case studies for teaching staff.
- Draft student-facing materials, including the student primer on the acceptable use of AI in academics.
- Assist in the organization of student focus groups and consultations to gather essential feedback.

The Leiden Learning & Innovation Centre (LLInC) is the Leiden University's expertise centre that provides continuous support and innovation of academic education to all of Leiden University's faculties. Our broad range of tasks is reflected in our multidisciplinary team of over 40 enthusiastic professionals. We work closely with university lecturers on tools and techniques that make learning attractive, innovative, efficient, accessible, and inclusive. We research and advise on educational (IT-based) developments (including legal aspects), we provide UTQ, CPD, and STQ training, and help the university meet its educational quality assurance goals. Our way of working is collaborative and creative. We are not afraid to experiment and take risks, and we prioritise solutions that have a positive impact on people and our university. Our central role at Leiden University makes us well connected to all faculties, the university board, service departments, and other expertise centres.
What you bring
- 
Your Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a degree program in Educational Sciences, Pedagogy, or a related field at Leiden University.
- Excellent research, summarization, and writing skills (fluency in Dutch and English is required).
- A strong interest in the intersection of technology, AI, and education.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible content for different audiences.
- Proactive and able to work collaboratively within a team.
